Membership:
Membership in the literary e-zine club will be open to all students at our high school who are interested in creative writing, poetry, and/or artwork. No previous experience is required. We encourage diversity and inclusivity and welcome students from all backgrounds to participate.
Activities:
The activities of our club will include the following:

Meetings-The club will hold bi-weekly on-campus + google meetings (Tuesdays 3:15-4:00 pm + Wednesdays Editorial via Google meet 10-10:30 am). Students will discuss putting together the e-zine, discuss the content of the e-zine writing & art, review and select pieces for publication, share tips and techniques, provide feedback, plan events/workshops

Accepting submissions of creative writing, poetry, and artwork from students at our high school.

Editing and designing the e-zine.

Hosting events and workshops with our club's mentor, AfroLA to promote the club and literary arts. The club will organize events such as poetry slams, field trips (museums/ art exhibitions), mentorship and guest speaker opportunities either in person or via Google Meet

Treasurer: responsibilities would include maintaining a record of all financial transactions, preparing and presenting financial reports at club meetings, and working with the club's leadership to create a budget and ensure that all expenditures align with the club's goals and objectives.

Video Editor(s): Responsible for selecting the best shots from raw footage, adding music and sound effects, and ensuring the video has a cohesive look and feel. You will work closely with the videographer and editorial team to create a final product that aligns with the magazine's overall vision and style. This position could have (2) who volunteer for the position

Web Editor: Coordinates frequently with the Editor-In-Chief and Copy Editor in order to obtain stories and graphics for conversion to the website. Strives to make DV Connect Lit contain all that the printed e-zine contains, but also to develop coverage that is distinctive and takes advantage of the immediacy and unique qualities or the world wide web. Takes the lead in developing new ideas, designs and types of coverage for the web edition. Updates web page within one week of publishing DV Connect Lit, In between issues updates Web pages weekly.

Graphic Designer(s): Responsible for working with the layout designer in creating a cohesive issue with a color scheme that is visually appealing and engaging-working on e-zine pages, artwork, text and images. They work collaboratively with the editor, layout designer, and other members of the team to ensure that the magazine's design is consistent. They are also responsible for managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines. This position could have (2) who volunteer for the position

Circulation Manager: Creates a clear system for distribution of DV Connect Lit's e-zine to students, faculty, administration. Oversees the distribution of the e-zine. Prints, makes copies, put the e-zine in order for binding when Editor-In-Chief has approved for publication. Will need to be able to stay about 30 minutes after school for this job when required.

Photographer(s): Responsible for taking photographs for the magazine. They may be asked to take photos of events or people related to the literary art magazine, or to take photos to accompany articles. This position could have (2) who volunteer for the positions

Videographer(s): Responsible for filming events and activities related to the magazine, editing raw footage into a polished final product, and promoting the magazine through short promotional videos on social media or the school's website. This positions could have (2) who volunteer for the position
